Oknha Dr. Carolyne Pung, Vice Chairperson of Canadia Group, entrepreneur, and medical doctor, attended the prestigious Choose France Global Business Summit, held at the Palace of Versailles on June 1, 2026. She was accompanied by Vincent Kou, Executive Vice President of OCIC.

During her visit to France, Oknha Dr. Carolyne Pung exchanged with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée Palace alongside international business leaders.

Launched by President Emmanuel Macron in 2018, Choose France brings together leading international investors, business executives, and decision-makers to discuss investment, innovation, and global cooperation. This year’s edition brought together prominent figures from the international business community, including Xavier Niel, founder of Iliad; Chia Song Hwee, CEO of Temasek; and Masayoshi Son, CEO of SoftBank, who announced a EUR 75 billion (~USD 87.1 billion) investment in France, alongside leaders from multinational corporations, sovereign wealth funds, and major global companies.

As Vice Chairperson of Canadia Group, which comprises its financial arm under Canadia Investment Holding Plc and its diversified non-financial activities under Overseas Cambodian Investment Corporation (OCIC), Oknha Dr. Carolyne Pung contributes to the Group’s continued development across key sectors of Cambodia’s economy.

She has played a key role in advancing French education in Cambodia as the founder of the École Française Internationale of Phnom Penh (EFI) and the Université Francophone d’Asie (UFA). Beyond education, she has contributed to strengthening long-term relationships with French institutions and business organisations.

OCIC has also worked closely with the Embassy of France and its Institut Français du Cambodge for more than three years, reflecting the Group’s continued support for La Francophonie and French cultural initiatives in Cambodia.

This engagement also comes as Cambodia actively prepares for the upcoming 20th Francophonie Summit in Phnom Penh this November, a major international gathering expected to welcome delegations from more than 88 countries and further strengthen cultural, economic, and institutional connections across the Francophone world.

OCIC is contributing to these preparations by supporting the organisers, with key events set to take place in OCIC-developed locations, including the Summit at OCIC Convention Centre Chroy Changvar, and FrancoTech at Koh Pich Convention Centre. This engagement reflects the Group’s longstanding ties with the Francophone community, with more than 50 French nationals and many other Francophone professionals working across the Canadia Group ecosystem.

Through her engagement as a business ambassador for Cambodia and the ASEAN region, Oknha Dr. Carolyne Pung continues to encourage dialogue, connectivity, and collaboration between Cambodia and international partners.
