Building on the success of its annual blood donation initiative, Oakwood Premier Phnom Penh hosted the third edition of its flagship CSR initiative, “United by Blood Year 3: Saving Lives Together”, on June 27, 2026, with sister properties Citadines Flatiron Phnom Penh and Somerset Norodom Phnom Penh, following its Ascott Cares commitment.

Held in partnership with Intercare Hospital and the National Blood Bank of Cambodia, this year's campaign achieved remarkable growth, welcoming over 130 guests and 100 registered donors and collecting nearly 90 bags of blood to support Cambodia's ongoing healthcare needs.

This year's event marked another successful milestone, bringing together a growing network of corporate partners, community organisations, media partners, and volunteers united by a shared commitment to saving lives and creating a positive impact. The strong support and participation received further strengthened the spirit of collaboration and community giving that lies at the heart of the initiative.

A key highlight of this year’s drive was the involvement of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia, led by its President Tim Montero, who was present at the event to show his support.

“At PhilCham Cambodia, we believe that meaningful partnerships go beyond business. Through our collaboration on United for Blood Year 3, we are proud to support an initiative that brings people together to give back to the community,” stated Montero. “Every blood donation is a simple act of kindness that can make a life-changing difference, and we are grateful to be part of this collective effort.”

Kevin How, Cluster General Manager of Citadines Flatiron Phnom Penh and Somerset Norodom Phnom Penh, reflected on the initiative's expanding impact on the community:

“United For Blood reflects the spirit of Ascott Cares — bringing people together to create a positive impact in the communities we serve. It is inspiring to see our Cambodia, come together with our partners, donors, and volunteers for a shared purpose. The continued growth of this initiative demonstrates the power of collaboration and our collective commitment to supporting community well-being and saving lives.”

Representing Oakwood Premier Phnom Penh, Lenen Mar Porras, Director of Sales and Marketing, shared, “At The Ascott Limited, we believe that hospitality is not only about welcoming guests, it is about caring for the communities we call home."

She added:

“Through United by Blood Year 3, we are reminded that even the simplest act of kindness can have the power to save a life. Seeing our associates, partners, volunteers, and donors unite for a shared purpose is a powerful reflection of what compassion can achieve when a community comes together. We hope this initiative continues to inspire more people to give not because they have to, but because they have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference.”

In addition to the blood donation drive, participants also attended a special health talk on Stress Management led by Dr. Charlotte Araza Dizon, Functional Medical Practitioner at Intercare Hospital. The insightful session encouraged greater awareness of mental wellness while providing practical strategies for navigating daily challenges, reflecting the collective commitment of the organizers and partners to supporting overall community well-being.

This initiative also saw valuable collaboration with APD Bank, Real Teeth Dental Clinic and Mithra Spa. Media coverage was supported by leading outlets including Cambodia Investment Review, B2B Asia News, Find Your News Cambodia.

The success of United For Blood Year 3: Saving Lives Together reflects The Ascott Limited's ongoing commitment to creating meaningful impact through its Ascott Cares programme. By bringing together associates, partners, and the wider community, the initiative demonstrates how collective action can contribute to healthier, stronger communities and create lasting positive change beyond hospitality.
