នៅថ្ងៃទី៥ ខែមិថុនា ឆ្នាំ២០២៦ ក្រសួងវប្បធម៌និងវិចិត្រសិល្បៈនៃព្រះរាជាណាចក្រកម្ពុជា បានចេញសេចក្តីថ្លែងការណ៍ថ្កោលទោសយ៉ាងដាច់អហង្ការបំផុតចំពោះសកម្មភាពបំផ្លិចបំផ្លាញថ្មីៗរបស់កងកម្លាំងយោធាថៃ មកលើជណ្តើរឈើដែលជាច្រកផ្លូវឡើងទៅកាន់ប្រាសាទខ្នារ។

ហេដ្ឋារចនាសម្ព័ន្ធនេះ គឺជាសមិទ្ធផលដែលអាជ្ញាធរកម្ពុជាបានខិតខំកសាងឡើងតាំងពីឆ្នាំ២០១៧ ក្នុងគោលបំណងបម្រើដល់កិច្ចការអភិរក្សបេតិកភណ្ឌជាតិ និងជួយសម្រួលដល់ការបំពេញភារកិច្ចរបស់មន្ត្រីជំនាញក្នុងការថែរក្សាសម្បត្តិវប្បធម៌។ សកម្មភាពរបស់ភាគីថៃត្រូវបានចាត់ទុកថាជាការរំលោភបំពានដែលមិនអាចទទួលយកបានចំពោះកិច្ចខិតខំប្រឹងប្រែងការពារបេតិកភណ្ឌជាតិ និងរារាំងដល់ការគ្រប់គ្រងតំបន់ប្រវត្តិសាស្ត្ររបស់កម្ពុជា។

ជណ្តើរឈើដែលរងការបំផ្លិចបំផ្លាញនេះមានទំហំធំធេង ដោយមានចំនួនរហូតដល់ ១១៨១កាំ និងមានប្រវែងសរុប ៣២៥ម៉ែត្រ លាតសន្ធឹងឆ្ពោះទៅកាន់តួប្រាសាទ។ ក្រសួងបានសង្កត់ធ្ងន់ថា ជណ្តើរនេះមិនត្រឹមតែសម្រាប់សម្រួលដល់ការឡើងចុះរបស់ភ្ញៀវទេសចរ និងអ្នកស្រាវជ្រាវប៉ុណ្ណោះទេ ប៉ុន្តែវាក៏ជាផ្នែកមួយដ៏សំខាន់នៃប្រព័ន្ធគ្រប់គ្រងតំបន់បេតិកភណ្ឌ និងការអភិវឌ្ឍសហគមន៍មូលដ្ឋានផងដែរ។ ការបាត់បង់ហេដ្ឋារចនាសម្ព័ន្ធនេះនឹងបង្កការលំបាកយ៉ាងខ្លាំងដល់កិច្ចការអភិរក្ស និងការគ្រប់គ្រងតំបន់ប្រាសាទខ្នារនាពេលអនាគត ហើយកម្ពុជាទាមទារឱ្យមានការគោរពចំពោះកិច្ចការបេតិកភណ្ឌវប្បធម៌ដែលជាតម្លៃជាសកល។

Cambodia Condemns Thai Military for Destroying Access Staircase at Prasat Knar

On June 5, 2026, the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts of the Kingdom of Cambodia released a strongly worded statement condemning the recent destruction of the wooden staircase leading to Prasat Knar by Thai military forces.

This critical infrastructure, constructed by Cambodian authorities in 2017, was specifically designed to facilitate the ongoing conservation of cultural heritage and to ensure safe passage for specialized officials, researchers, and international experts. The ministry categorized this aggressive action as a severe interference with the Kingdom’s sovereign responsibility to manage and preserve its historical landmarks and archaeological sites.

The staircase was an extensive wooden structure featuring 1,181 steps and spanning a total length of 325 meters toward the temple complex. Beyond serving as a physical path for tourists and academics, the Ministry noted that the staircase played a pivotal role in the comprehensive site management strategy and the inclusion of local communities in heritage protection. The destruction of this infrastructure not only hampers tourism but also undermines the logistical operations required for the long-term maintenance and monitoring of Prasat Knar. Cambodian authorities emphasize that such actions disregard international norms for cultural preservation.
