In Myanmar, the parliament opened a plenary session on Monday, March 16, in Naypyidaw, with an overwhelming presence of representatives from the Union Solidarity and Development Party, known as the pro-military party. This party won a landslide victory in the phased parliamentary elections in December 2025 and January 2026.
