អង្គការ HRW រិះគន់ IFC រឿងបដិសេធលទ្ធផលស៊ើបអង្កេតមីក្រូហិរញ្ញវត្ថុនៅកម្ពុជា

អង្គការឃ្លាំមើលសិទ្ធិមនុស្ស (Human Rights Watch) បានរិះគន់យ៉ាងធ្ងន់ធ្ងរចំពោះការសម្រេចចិត្តរបស់សាជីវកម្មហិរញ្ញវត្ថុអន្តរជាតិ (IFC) នៃធនាគារពិភពលោក ដែលបានបដិសេធលទ្ធផលនៃការស៊ើបអង្កេតពីការិយាល័យត្រួតពិនិត្យឯករាជ្យរបស់ខ្លួន ពាក់ព័ន្ធនឹងផលប៉ះពាល់អវិជ្ជមាននៃវិស័យមីក្រូហិរញ្ញវត្ថុនៅកម្ពុជា។ ការស៊ើបអង្កេតផ្ទៃក្នុងនោះ បានរកឃើញពីបញ្ហាកង្វល់ជាច្រើនដែលកើតចេញពីការវិនិយោគលើគ្រឹះស្ថានមីក្រូហិរញ្ញវត្ថុ។ អង្គការ HRW យល់ឃើញថា សកម្មភាពបដិសេធនេះ គឺជាការបោះបង់ចោលការទទួលខុសត្រូវចំពោះអ្នកខ្ចីប្រាក់រាប់លាននាក់នៅកម្ពុជា ដែលកំពុងរងគ្រោះដោយសារបំណុល និងធ្វើឱ្យពួកគេបាត់បង់ឱកាសក្នុងការទទួលបានដំណោះស្រាយ ឬយុត្តិធម៌។

Human Rights Watch (HRW) has strongly criticized the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, for rejecting the findings of its own internal watchdog regarding microfinance investments in Cambodia. The investigation, conducted by the Compliance Advisor Ombudsman (CAO), revealed significant negative social impacts resulting from microfinance lending practices in the country. HRW argues that by dismissing these findings, the IFC is neglecting its responsibility to millions of Cambodian borrowers who have suffered from debt-related issues, effectively stripping them of any opportunity for redress or institutional accountability.
