Since the Iran war erupted in late February, numerous oil and gas refining infrastructures in the Middle East have sustained severe damage due to mutual attacks. Recognizing the urgent demand for crude oil and natural gas, Algeria and Libya have ramped up their domestic production and fuel exports to Europe. Both governments have invested tens of billions of dollars to double production and modernize their oil and gas refining infrastructure.
