KAMPONG SPEU: A male suspect has been sent to the Kampong Speu Provincial Court for legal action after he allegedly poured gasoline on his ex-wife and set her on fire, causing severe burn injuries. The victim is currently undergoing emergency medical treatment at the Kampong Speu Provincial Referral Hospital. According to local sources, the horrific incident occurred after the ex-husband attempted to reconcile with her after they had been divorced for over a year. However, the ex-wife refused to get back together with him. Enraged by her rejection, the suspect, who is reportedly a drug addict, purchased gasoline, doused her, and set her ablaze. Following the incident, the Kampong Speu Provincial Military Police arrested the suspect on the spot and built a case file to send him to court to face legal prosecution.
