អគ្គនាយករងអាជ្ញាធរជាតិព្រះវិហារ បានអះអាងថា ប្រាសាទព្រះវិហាររបស់កម្ពុជាបានរងការខូចខាតប្រមាណ ៨០% ដោយសារយោធាថៃបានបាញ់ផ្លោងគ្រាប់ធុនធ្ងន់ជាច្រើនប្រភេទមកចំប្រាង្គប្រាសាទ។​ បើតាម អាជ្ញាធរជាតិព្រះវិហារ មន្ត្រីជំនាញបានរកឃើញស្នាមប្រេះ ខួងសាច់ និងបាក់រលំចំនួន ៥៦២ទីតាំង ខណៈមន្ត្រីស៊ីម៉ាក់ក៏បានរកឃើញគ្រាប់បែកគ្រប់ប្រភេទចំនួនជាង ១ ៣០០គ្រាប់ ដែលបន្សល់ទុកដោយយោធាថៃបាញ់ស្រោចមកលើប្រាសាទព្រះវិហារ។

Preah Vihear Temple, Cambodia's ancient UNESCO World Heritage site, is facing an urgent crisis, with approximately 80% of its structure severely damaged and at high risk of collapse this upcoming rainy season. The Deputy Director General of the Preah Vihear National Authority has confirmed the extensive damage, attributing it to heavy shelling by the Thai military. Expert teams from the Authority have identified 562 distinct locations suffering from cracks, structural drilling marks, and collapses. Furthermore, officers from CMAC (Cambodian Mine Action Centre) have made an alarming discovery of over 1,300 unexploded ordnance of various types, remnants of the conflict, scattered across the temple grounds. This severe deterioration threatens the future of this invaluable historical monument, necessitating immediate attention and conservation efforts.
