យោងតាមស្ថិតិរបស់ក្រសួងទេសចរណ៍ ក្នុងរយៈពេល៤ខែដើមឆ្នាំនេះ កម្ពុជាទទួលបានភ្ញៀវទេសចរអន្តរជាតិជាង ១,៣លាននាក់ ដែលជាតួលេខបានធ្លាក់ចុះ ៤៥,៦% បើធៀបនឹងរយៈពេលដូចគ្នាកាលពីឆ្នាំមុន។ លោក ហូ វណ្ឌី ប្រធានក្រុមប្រឹក្សាភិបាលនៃសមាគមទេសចរណ៍កម្ពុជា បានលើកឡើងថា ការធ្លាក់ចុះយ៉ាងគំហុកនេះ គឺមិនធ្លាប់មាននោះទេក្នុងរយៈពេលជិត២០ឆ្នាំចុងក្រោយនេះ។ លោកបានចាត់ទុកថា វិបត្តិនៃជម្លោះព្រំដែនកម្ពុជា-ថៃ គឺជាកត្តារួមចំណែកមួយផ្នែកធំ។ លើសពីនេះ លោក វណ្ឌី បានគូសបញ្ជាក់ថា វិបត្តិតម្លៃប្រេងឥន្ធនៈសកល និងអំពើឆបោកតាមអនឡាញ ក៏ជាមូលហេតុបន្ថែមទៀតដែលទាញទម្លាក់ចំនួនភ្ញៀវទេសចរបរទេសមកកាន់កម្ពុជាផងដែរ។

Cambodia experienced a dramatic 45.6% decrease in international tourist arrivals during the first four months of this year, with just over 1.3 million visitors, according to statistics from the Ministry of Tourism. This figure represents a sharp drop compared to the same period last year. Mr. Ho Vandy, Chairman of the Board of the Cambodia Association of Travel Agents, stated that this severe downturn is unprecedented in the last two decades. He identified the Cambodia-Thailand border conflict as a significant contributing factor to the decline. Furthermore, Mr. Vandy pointed to the global fuel price crisis and online scams as additional reasons behind the sharp fall in foreign visitors to the country.
