The Preah Vihear Provincial Department of Environment, in collaboration with local authorities, the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS), and local community members, conducted a comprehensive three-day patrol from August 10 to 12. The operation was aimed at cracking down on forestry crimes and preventing the illegal encroachment of forest land within protected areas. During the mission, the joint task force patrolled key locations to identify and halt illegal logging and unauthorized land clearing activities. This initiative is part of an ongoing effort to strengthen forest management and ensure the protection of natural resources in Preah Vihear province. Authorities emphasized that such patrols are vital for deterring individuals from occupying state land illegally and for preserving the region's biodiversity for future generations.
