What You'll Need

A Serey Account

You need an active Serey account with a community and access to the Website Builder.

A Kit Account

You need a Kit account with at least one published form. The free plan works.

Connect Your Account in 3 Steps

Get your form from Kit

In Kit, open the form you want to collect signups with. You need one of two things:

The embed code. Open your form, click Embed, choose the JavaScript tab, and copy the one line snippet.
Or the Form ID and an API key. The Form ID is the number in the form editor URL. The API key is made in Kit under Settings → Developer → V4 Keys, using Add a new key. Copy it right away, because Kit shows it only once.

Add the section on Serey

In Serey:

Go to Manage Platform to open your CMS dashboard
Open the Website Builder
Click Add Section and choose Email Subscription
Choose Kit as the provider
Paste your embed code, or fill in your API key and Form ID, then save your page

You are collecting subscribers

Anyone who subscribes on your Serey landing page lands in your Kit form straight away. Open the section again at any time to switch forms, restyle the box, or turn it into a timed popup.

Troubleshooting

Form not showing? The embed code must be the full JavaScript snippet from Kit, copied with no characters missing.
Signups not arriving? Check that the Form ID belongs to the same Kit account as the API key, and that the form is published in Kit.
Key not accepted? Make sure there are no extra spaces when you paste, and that it is a V4 key. Older V3 keys do not work.
Nothing on the live page? The section only appears once your landing page is saved and published.

Do I need a paid Kit plan?

No. Kit's free Newsletter plan covers up to 10,000 subscribers with unlimited forms, which is enough to collect subscribers from Serey.

Embed code or API key, which should I pick?

The embed code keeps the form Kit designed for you, including its own confirmation and redirect rules. The API key and Form ID keep the form Serey designed, so it matches your landing page colours and fonts.

Where do my new subscribers show up?

In Kit, under the form you connected. Any sequence or automation attached to that form runs as usual.

Can I use Kit and EmailOctopus together?

Each Email Subscription section uses one provider. Pick Kit or EmailOctopus on the section itself.

Can I change my form later?

Yes. Open the section in the Website Builder, paste a new Form ID or a new embed code, then save.
